Merry Christmas

As discussed in So what's on the Breakfast Menu the holidays are upon us and for many of us that means we will be a house guest or are expecting house guests. A wheat free breakfast is one thing but a dairy free, egg free and wheat free breakfast? Oh honey, it can definitely be done.

There are many foods that are naturally wheat free, dairy free and egg free. Your breakfast menu may include:

Ackee and saltfish with fried breadfruit
Callaloo, yam and kidney
Roast breadfruit, liver and tomato slices
Potatoes and bacon
Boiled green bananas and steamed fish
Fried plantain, roasted breadfruit, quinoa and chick pea
Corn on the cob, boiled rice flour dumplings and smoked salmon
Fruits
and much more

As for brands, there are several breakfast products free from egg, wheat and dairy:

Van's Natural Foods:
Gluten Free Waffles (Flax; Buckwheat with Berries; Apple Cinnamon; Blueberry; Totally Natural; Ancient Grains Original)
Gluten Free Pancakes, Totally Natural
Gluten Free French Toast Sticks, Cinnamon
Gluten Free Cereal (Cinnamon Heaven; Honey Nut Crunch)

Almond Breeze Almondmilk - All Products

Chex Cereal (Rice Chex; Corn Chex; Honey Nut Chex; Chocolate Chex; Vanilla Chex; Apple Cinnamon Chex)

Post's Fruity Pebbles Cereal
Post's Cocoa Pebbles Cereal

Glutino Gluten Free Cereal (Sensible Beginnings; Berry Sensible Beginnings; Frosted Sensible Beginnings)

Enjoy Life Cereal (Crunchy Flax; Crunchy Flax with Chia; Crunchy Rice)

A Few Tips:
Always check labels of products for allergen information as brand recipes can be modified.
Always clean food preparation areas and tools before use as the area and tools may have been exposed to the food allergen.
Advise persons with access to the fridge and pantry that there is food ingredients and food in there for persons with certain food allergies and as such to take the needed measure to avoid contaminating products (for example, do not place unclean hands in a container and then return that container to the fridge).

Have a Merry Christmas!
